In a bizarre crossover event that defies conventional predictions, the game developer has unveiled an in-game partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising Thanksgiving event continues from November 25 through December 22, providing complimentary additional story content for Shadows players.
Mysterious Adventure Disclosed
According to the formal statement, "A mysterious confrontation leads heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a original mission, where rumors of banned ceremonies and terrifying metamorphoses resonate through the obscurity." The narrative features a "strangely attired woman named Ada" who charges the pair with venturing into the Crystalline Cavern—a important location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her companion from a secret sect.
The questline focuses on "peculiar tests and a monstrous adversary" and is open to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.
Iconic Settings and Metamorphoses
The trailer showcases the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This important location was previously where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The teaser concludes with a dramatic sequence showing a character, presumably the prisoner, changing into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.
Special Items and Additional Content
Players who finish the mission will obtain an special katana in addition to several artifacts hidden throughout the area in secret chests. The update also features purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, including:

This patch also adds the game's newest no-cost story addition, titled "The Enigma."
